This painting was done in conjunction with a class I took online at the Arts Student League with Karen O'Neil. The focus of this painting was color temperature. I painted this over six days. The set up was arranged in an east window on sunny mornings and I painted from 9 - 11:30. The sky was a clear blue and that casts a cool blue light and the shadows were warm. My interest in this set up was the cad red light at the base of the bowl.
