A cool find at the flea market, this large, deep blue vase. I thought, how will I paint this dark object? I saw it as a challenge and said "just have fun". There's no point in worrying! Paint shapes and not objects, paint colors while thinking about their values and saturation and make the composition interesting by moving the viewer's eye around the canvas and working those negative spaces into the composition.
