Here's my finished painting. I left the blue pitcher to paint last. I like the rich blue color and the abstract design the swirls make. Thanks for following my progress. I hope you enjoy the completed painting.
It was fun to watch the process. I didn't know you could work on one area at a time. It ever occurred to me. It makes sense because than you can pay attention to each part equally. I always end up in a mad dash at the end as if my luck will run out if I don't hurry along. This is a great piece. It is the kind of still life that first attracted me to painting.
Love these bright clear colors! I also really like the composition. That dividing line of the cloth is placed so beautifully with the straight lines playing off against curves.
Beautiful painting Robin! The glass, the pitcher and their cast shadows/reflections are wonderful! And that apple really calls to me. You nailed it!
