I thought this sliced avocado looked like three little boats going down a blue river. One had a pit for a passenger. I know that sounds silly but I wasn't feeling silly when I painted it. It might look green and creamy in this painting but it had turned very brown by the time I finished. Oh, how I was hoping to eat it.
What a great painting! You captured the buyer texture of the avocado beautifully.

ReplyDeleteNext time, try using lemon juice to keep it from getting brown. I keep a bottle of lemon juice in my refrigerator. Pour a little in a bowl and add some water. Dip the fruit in it.
