I haven't painted grapes in a while and they were both fun and challenging. I had to wipe down my canvas several times before I figured out the right shapes and colors. This painting turned out more impressionistic than I had planned. It could be I was inspired by a very dramatic Van Gogh movie last night called Vincent & Theo on Netflix.
I love the planes on the grapes. I wish I could leave those chunky strokes! I just blend them away. Nice job on the metal bowl, too. Great shadows and reflections.
