I've decided to go back and try my hand at some of the DPW's Challenges. It might have been that at the time I had something else to say and didn't want to commit to someone else's idea of what to paint. Now I can pick and choose which challenges to try. I'm getting a lot of glare with my photos because it's been overcast and either snowing or raining. Hope it clears up soon.
I particularly like this scene, and I had also painted that one. The rim light on the distant tree came out a bit bold in my case and I called the painting 'the cookie monster' because it looks like a giant cookie coming up the hill. Love it.
